Unlike older ceramic heaters used by other manufacturers, JJSPA halogen heaters do not cause a burning sensation on the skin, and each of the three wavelengths – NIR, MIR or FIR – provides numerous health benefits.

NIR or Near Infrared is the shortest wavelength, delivering energy to cells with photons of wavelength 800–1400 nm.

These rays reach just beneath the surface of the dermis, therefore they have numerous benefits for skin conditions. They promote wound healing, regenerate cells and thus accelerate tissue growth. They also relieve various inflammations, improve the condition of wrinkles and stimulate collagen synthesis.

MIR

MIR or Middle Infrared produces IR rays with a wavelength of 1400–3000 nm. The rays are longer than NIR rays, so they penetrate deeper under the skin.

With temperatures up to 65 °C, the infrared sauna is also suitable for those who cannot stand the high temperatures of a traditional Finnish sauna.
